Friday night: if you're able to get a jump on the weekend and want to get in some turns, head straight to nearby Pats Peak in Henniker (100% of their terrain is open for night skiing!).  If you're looking for an adult beverage and/or dinner, there's no reason to leave the mountain.   Pat's Sled Pub is famous for their tasty food and selection of draft beers.  You can then either enjoy staying nearby at the Colby Hill Inn or the Henniker Motel.  If you want to get closer to your Saturday skiing/riding, head to Concord and get a room at the Comfort Inn and Suites - it's only 15 minutes from Pats and you're right on I-93!

Saturday: Get to Gunstock early for some smooth groomed snow and great all-around terrain, or get a leisurely start if you prefer, since the skiing and riding go well into the night.  Most Saturday nights are "Gunstock Rocks Saturday Night", which are all-inclusive nights for the whole family at one low price. (Pats Peak has a similar Pay-One-Price program on Saturday nights as well if you want to flip-flop your travel schedule). Enjoy convenient lodging at numerous local properties including the new Towneplace Suites by Marriott Gilford or the Inns & Spa at Mill Falls in Meredith.

Sunday: Depending on where you are returning to, start heading south and get in turns at Dartmouth Skiway near Lebanon, I-91 and I-89.  McIntyre Ski Area is in downtown Manchester and is a great place for those still learning the sport.  Granite Gorge is near Keene and is right on Route 9.  All of these areas offer uncrowded weekend conditions and affordable lift tickets.
