Eastern White Mtn. Sample Itinerary
Western White Mtn. Sample Itinerary
There are tons of options in for ski vacations regardless of where you head in New Hampshire, but this should give you an idea of all there is to do while you're here!
Friday: Head for the Mt. Washington Valley early as this three-day weekend will be jam-packed. Take your pick of Black Mountain or Wildcat Mountain, at the northern end of the valley. Skiers and riders will enjoy classic New England trails at Wildcat along with the region's longest novice trail from Wildcat's summit. Beginners and families should check out Black Mountain.
Friday Apres Ski: Shannon Door has been Jackson's place for apres ski for two generations; choose one of their famous pizzas. Or, enjoy a leisurely meal created by Chef Larry Baima at the Thompson House Eatery.
Friday Night: Don't miss the chance to stay at one of the White Mountain's original grand hotels, the Eagle Mountain House.
Saturday: Those with skinny skis can get an early start with breakfast at the J-Town Deli, then step outside onto the Jackson XC trail network, while alpine skiers and snowboarders can tuck into a hearty breakfast at Glen Junction in Glen, then take off for Attitash or Bretton Woods for a full day on the slopes.
Saturday Night: If you have the legs for it, after dinner at Fabyan's Station, ski Bretton Woods under the lights. Or make it an in-town night by skiing at Cranmore, then staying at North Conway's landmark Eastern Slope Inn or the charming Nereledge Inn that's ideal for those on a budget. If you passed on pizza last night, choose Flatbread's scrumptious organic pizza. For a memorable dinner in a fabulous setting, choose Stonehurst Manor, an elegant turn-of-the-century manor set on a hill just north of the village.
Sunday: Take it slow on Sunday with brunch at the White Mountain Hotel and a little shopping at Settler's Green - or pack in some more time on the mountain at Cranmore or King Pine. As the sun sets, it's time to head home ... thinking about when you can get another three days in the mountains!
