Highlights: Attitash is Mount Washington Valley's largest four season resort.  Two interconnected mountains-Attitash and Bear Peak-provide spectacular views of Mt. Highlights: One of the oldest ski areas in New Hampshire, Cannon is home to the New England Ski Museum, the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site, and a host of winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, winter hiking, ice climbing, and snowmobiling.  While best known for its superb expert terrain, Cannon also offers the Tuckerbrook family area, ideal for learning and developing skills on nine trails for beginners and lower intermediate skiers. Highlights: This winter Cranmore is celebrating 70 years of family skiing and fun.  Guests can enjoy nighttime festivities including night skiing and tubing every Saturday night and most holiday periods.  Cranapalooza takes place every Saturday night mid-season and offers a variety of fun family activities.  Plenty of "snowtoys" are available for rent, and there is snowtubing in the eight-lane Grand Prix Tubing Center.  The Sports Center at the base offers indoor tennis, a pool, hot tub, and an indoor climbing wall.  Located in the heart of North Conway, there are plenty of nearby choices for dining, lodging, and tax-free shopping.

Highlights: Five lifts provide uphill transportation for a trail system with wide slopes and glade runs.  Night skiing is a big part of the Crotched experience; the entire mountain is lit for night action, with skiing & riding six nights per week, right from the first day of the season through the last. X-Treme Midnight Madness offers skiing and snowboarding until 3am on selected Friday and Saturday nights.  The top-to-bottom "Love Park" terrain park offers features for all abilities.  The Mountain Lodge features the latest ski and snowboard equipment and an open-style food court with a variety of menu items and a pizzeria.  Crotched's state-of-the-art fan gun snowmaking system has the highest rated snow production capacity per skiable acre in New England.

Highlights: Dartmouth Skiway is focused on the family.  Terrain features exist for those who want to get airborne, and there is glade skiing for other adventurers.  The McLane Family Lodge features a large rental shop with new rental skis, boots, and bindings.  Over the years, the history-rich Skiway has contributed 86 members to Winter Olympic teams, and hosted the 2003 NCAA Championships.

Highlights: Located just five miles from downtown Keene on Rte. 9 East, Pinnacle Mountain at Granite Gorge is simple to get to.  Granite Gorge recently reopened the "Pinnacle Express" double chairlift, providing top to bottom skiing on expanded terrain.  The mountain offers great location, protection from the wind, and a north face that holds snow.  Granite Gorge offers state-of-the-art snowmaking and grooming services.  The base lodge offers concessions and there is always a cup of hot chocolate available.  In addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding trails, there is a terrain park, and a tubing park with a carpet lift.

Highlights: Gunstock celebrates its 70th year offering spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee, a friendly atmosphere and great skiing and riding all day and into the night.  The Panorama high-speed detachable quad chairlift whisks skiers and snowboarders to the summit in just 6 minutes.  For beginning skiers and riders Gunstock offers its nationally recognized "Mountain Magic" program.  Non-skiers can plunge down New Hampshire's longest snowtubing hill.  "Gunstock Rocks Saturday Nights" returns, featuring live music, special deals, and a different party every Saturday night.  New this season, Wall-to-Wall Wednesday Nights includes skiing, riding and tubing, all for one low price.  The area also offers cross country skiing, snowshoeing and guided evening summit snowshoe hikes.

Highlights: Since the 1930's, King Pine has been known for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordability, impeccable grooming and consistent snow conditions.  Since 1962, the ski area has been owned and operated by the Hoyt family, who also own the affiliated Purity Spring Resort.  Skiers and snowboarders will find a halfpipe, hits and rails.  Experts can carve turns on Pitch Pine and the new double-black diamond, Pine Brule.  An alpine ticket also includes complimentary XC skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating.  Other winter activities include night skiing and snowtubing.  Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, spa, restaurant and lodging.

Highlights: Loon Mountain features New England's newest terrain this winter, with the opening of new lifts and 50 acres of trails at South Peak.  This year's terrain and lifts represent just 35% of the total planned expansion.  Skiers & riders choose Loon for its abundance of terrain and superior snow conditions.  Transworld Snowboarding readers rated Loon's signature terrain park and superpipe the #1 Terrain Park, Pipe and Resort in the East.  The Adventure Center serves as the nordic skiing and snowshoe center, with an indoor climbing wall and an ice skating rink.  The area also has lift-serviced and walk-up snowtubing.  Loon is located only two hours from Boston, right off I-93.

Highlights: Under new ownership, Ragged is on its way to becoming New Hampshire's premier ski resort.  Changes are happening all over the mountain, including 14,000 feet of new pipe for increased snowmaking, new restaurants and lodge enhancements.  The area is home to New Hampshire's only high-speed 6-passenger chairlift, taking skiers and riders to the summit in less than five minutes. Eight other lifts ensure short lift lines on Ragged's two big-mountain peaks.  During the summer, Ragged operates an 18-hole championship golf course.

Washington Valley's #1 novice trail.  A second day of skiing or riding costs just $39 for adults and teens.  New this season, guests can fly half a mile down the mountain at speeds up to 45 mph on the ZipRider zipline cable ride.  Located in the White Mountain National Forest, Wildcat is surrounded by great cross country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking opportunities.  There are a wide variety of lodging, dining and entertainment options nearby, in the villages of North Conway, Jackson and Gorham.
