Friday Night: Most people have night skiied, but during midseason weekends, Crotched Mountain is open until 3am! Leave after work and the kids can still get in a full day of skiing and riding. Parents can relax after a long week with a cold one at the base lodge bar or grab dinner nearby at Malarkey's, sitting by the fireplace on a comfortable couch.
Friday lodging: Crotched Mountain Resort is a timeless retreat located just a few minutes from the ski area, offering one & two bedroom suites with plenty of room for your family. Or, try the Jack Daniels Motor Inn just 9 miles away in Peterborough. Situated in a classic New England town, the Inn is located amidst galleries, fine dining, and unique shops.
Saturday: Wake up after a late night and get moving to Ragged Mountain just over an hour away. There's no need to rush for first tracks, since Ragged is relatively uncrowded on weekends and boasts a high-speed six pack chairlift. It's a great fit for a fun Saturday on the slopes!
Saturday Night: Start heading a bit closer to home by travelling about a half hour to Mount Sunapee. The Best Western Lake Sunapee Lodge is right next to the ski area entrance and is ideal for couples and families alike with a pool, sledding hill and lit ice-skating rink.
Saturday Dinner: Just down the road you'll find One Mile West, a popular apres ski location. The chicken pesto parm and lazy lobster pie are among the favorites, especially when paired with one of the 20 beers on tap.
Sunday: Mount Sunapee collects awards annually for their incredible grooming, and this is your chance to find out why. Be sure to get out for first tracks and enjoy some of the best groomed snow in New England and the entire country. When your legs have finally given in after a fun weekend you are already close to home!
